Once found, teams were deployed and she was quickly brought to safety.
This video was shot at around 1:00 a.m. The temperature was in the 20s. She had left her house mid-afternoon and was not dressed for the cold. (Here in the desert, we have about a 30 degree swing in temperature every 24 hours.) I don’t know if she would have made it through the night.
We had a similar case
about a year ago when a thermal drone was not available. This subject survived only because she had her dog with her and was thus able to keep warm.
Our team is trying to raise money to purchase a thermal drone that would be owned by the team and available for use all the time. If this is something you would be interested in supporting, it would be greatly appreciated.
