This book would make a great resource for a church-wide campaign. A church wide campaign includes three elements:
- Sermons. Adapt Johnny Hunt's sermons or write your own.
- Small group study. I will write a Good Question study for your use in groups. (Email me if you have a starting date.)
- Book. Invite your people to read Johnny's book at home for maximum learning.
Pulpit-press has one other book available for you to use as a church wide campaign: After Life by Brandon Park. Other books in the works include:
- Wise Up! (A study of Proverbs) by Steve Reynolds (Summer release)
- Rooted by Brad Whitt (Summer release)
- Shattered Dreams (A study of Ruth) by Patrick Mead (Fall release)

Why Bible Reading Changes Some but Not Others
Back to 2 Corinthians 3.18, “beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image.” What image?
The image of Jesus. The main thing for every Christian is to be changed into the image of Jesus. Discipleship is all about being transformed into the image of Jesus. We come to act like Jesus. We come to respond like Jesus. We come to think like Jesus. It happens as we behold Him. The key is consistency:
There are significant differences in the moral behaviors and spiritual maturity of believers who read or listen to the Bible at least four times a week compared to those who read or hear Scripture less often or never at all. In fact, such engagement motivates service for God and impacts the world for Him (through helping in church, loving the unlovely, reaching out to the needy).
There are no statistical differences in the behaviors of those who read/listen to the Bible one to three times weekly and those who spend zero days doing so. That is, the lives of Christians who rarely read the Bible appear identical to those who don’t follow Christ at all.
