Tell them what they will get

When we invite people to church, our invitations are tantamount to saying to someone, “Go to the movies. You will love it. Lots of special effects, great stories, great actors, and so forth.” Note that movies never do this. They are very specific. They tell you what is great about one particular movie.

When real estate companies advertise houses, they don’t advertise the idea of houses, or the fact that they have X number of houses in all shapes and sizes and styles available. They advertise a particular house: 3 bedroom, 2 bath, and great neighborhood.

I’d encourage you to put something like this on facebook:

·       This week we will be talking about how God transforms us. Join us!

·       Can’t wait to discuss ways to have a better marriage. Join us Sunday!

·       This week in Bible Study we will be talking about how to forgive when it is hard to forgive. Love to have you!

·         This week we will explore three common myths of what it means to be a Christian. You will be surprised by what you learn.

Each week tell em why they just can’t miss this week!
