Why I Voted Republican

Why I Voted RepublicanI voted yesterday. I recommend early voting. No lines. No wait. No fuss. No muss. I voted Republican. I decided a long time ago that I would always vote pro-life. I was there when all three of my babies were born. My oldest is now 25. I saw him for the first time when I could only see the top of his head. What is unbelievable to me is that he was not legally protected at that moment. If his mother were a crazy person--I shutter to think of it--she could have ordered his life taken and she would be protected under the law. It is unimaginable to me that we live in a country where that is legal. It ought to be illegal to take the life of a child in the last month before he or she is born. What reasonable person could disagree with that. He or she is a baby. A person. A human. A beating heart. I have a niece that lost baby the day before she was to be born. How unspeakably sad. They had a funeral and a burial. Of course they did. She is a baby. It ought to be illegal to take the life of a child when she is viable. It ought to be illegal to take the life of a child after 30 weeks. It ought to be illegal to take the life of a child after 20 weeks. It ought to be be illegal to take the life of a child at any time--all the way back to the morning after pill. The candidates are very clear an unequivocal on this. I heard Biden say last night that personally he agrees it is wrong to take the life of a child before birth. But he thinks we ought to allow other people to take the life of their children. Unbelievable. If it is a baby--and scripture and science and common sense agree that it is--then it is no one's legal choice to take its life. That is why I voted Republican. Josh Hunt
