Old Topic, New Take February 19, 2013
Insightful - not the same old, same old. Don't let the title scare you - get past the cover and you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Well documented, well researched - good supporting quotes, stats, illustrations.
Engaging - doesn't belabor the point until the reader yawns - keeps thoughts moving, pages turning.
Good use of humor - but that's just Hunt being Hunt.
Some proof readers skimmed too quickly.

a Good read. February 18, 2013
Josh writes in an interesting, informative and practical style! There is a strong link between obedience and happiness that doesn't come out in the title. I will definitely read more from him.

Josh Hunt Questions Review by Larryemc February 9, 2013
I have been using Josh Hunt's Good Questions for a year or more to help prepare my Sunday School Lessons from the Bible Studies for Life series. I certainly recommend Good Questions as a great supplement to Lifeway Sunday School materials. In fact, I am using Josh's questions this Sunday !

Great Source for Equipping Teachers February 9, 2013
Discipleship is an important subject area for the modern church. Teachers need to understand how to connect to people seeking to connect to the church and become an effective disciple for Christ.

Find Joy Here! February 4, 2013
Josh Hunt's work on this book is great and needed for an American church that seems to look for joy in all the wrong places. Most people tend to think that obedience is restrictive to our happiness because we can't do what pleases us. We the church need the reminder that seeking our own will leads to destruction, depression and emptiness but true and abiding joy, fulfillment and happiness is found as we walk in obedience to... Great Book !! February 2, 2013
Josh continues to use his insight on biblical application in his new book. The correlation between happiness (what we are always looking for) and obedience is made clear in many different ways which help us find a place to start.

Obedience equals Happiness January 30, 2013
This book could be subtitled, "Happiness." Obedience paves the way to happiness, according to Josh. He shared some good practical suggestions for getting people into God's Word, and he talked about forgiveness and the importance of gratitude. One concept I found interesting was the idea of serving God in your "sweet spot of gifting" -- when you get wrapped up in something bigger than yourself. Good book with... Read More

Obedience is the dirty word of our generation January 29, 2013
To some extent we are creatures of habit, bred by society and cultures that train us to be independent rather than dependent. We identify more with William Henley's "Invictus" that champions the mindset of, "It matters not how strait the gate, how charged with punishments the scroll. I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul!" And while giving lip service to what Jesus told us: To make disciples... Read More

Do you want to teach like Jesus? January 28, 2013
I do, and this is a road to reach your your class in growth. I briefly meant Josh Hunt at the West Metro Baptist Asso. Douglas county, Ga. two years ago gathering of S.S. teachers from my home church and at first his ideas were not received well, including myself (we simply do not like change). But I see how other churches are changing and it is not because they are doing the same old thing as in the passed.

Why I love this approach? January 28, 2013
The old saying "if you do what you always did and expect different results", it isn't going to happen, is so very true. I think as a S.S. teacher any one knows this better than Josh Hunt. His approach to growing a S.S. class may not be embraced by older teacher who refused to change will never see much growth in classes. We can not keep doing the same old things and expect much growth. Josh Hunt I believe has hit the... Read More
