Kathy doubled and you can too!I received this email today. I thought it would be encouraging to you: I have used your material “Good Questions Have Groups Talking” for three or more years. My class has doubled during this time. I usually have 18-20 women out of 28 on most Sundays. I have several members that have not been in Sunday School (Small Group) that have returned to Bible Study after being away for many years. My newest member is actually one of my church’s custodians, who has been talking to me as I studied the material in between my exercise class and my stint in our Prayer Room on Tuesdays. We have had many discussions about the points brought out in the material for the upcoming lesson. She evidently enjoyed the questioning techniques enough to join the class. She has not missed a single Sunday since she joined the class in August! This past Sunday, our class was brought to tears when I asked the question developed by you, “What do you love about this class?” The women went on to discuss how they liked being involved in the lesson, learning new meanings for words like malice, and being asked their personal opinions about spiritual ideas. These lessons bring out the best in each of us and I feel we are a more loving, kind, and caring group of women.
Josh, you have inspired me to try adding some God-directed questions of my own to the lessons. I laughingly find that questions come to my mind during meetings away from church. I inevitably ask the group one or more questions. The questions get us talking!
I am called by our Lord to be a teacher. I am not magic but have received the gift of teaching from Him. I love your material, Josh. Thank you for staying true to His Word. God has blessed you. To God be the glory!
